Malabar is a sheltered bay in Sydney’s east. The Ocean Swim starts and finishes on Malabar Beach and the course is indicated by marker buoys.  The swim is suitable for first-time ocean swimmers who have adequately trained for this event.

'The Magic' is a featured event on the OceanSwims calendar.  The event offers a two swim program, perfect for beginners or more experienced swimmers - a 1km course which starts at 9.00am and a more challenging 2.4km starting at 10.00am.

'The Magic' is all about enjoying a swim and fundraising for Rainbow Club.  Now into its ninth year, it's a great family fun day out with prizes, entertainment, refreshments and more!

So register for 'The Magic' and by setting your goal and creating a fundraising page, together we can help the Rainbow Club children reach theirs.

All the information you need is listed on this site to help you get swimming and fundraising - so challenge your friends, work colleagues and family to join in on the fun day and help us reach our fundraising goal!

See you at 'The Magic'!

This annual event is named after the great Australian Olympian swimmer, Murray Rose. The swim’s name reflects the esteem which Rainbow Club Australia has for its former patron and one of the inaugural founders of this Ocean Swim.

The Malabar Magic is the key annual fundraising event for Rainbow Club Australia, a registered non-profit charity raising funds and supporting children with a disability learning to swim and be safe in the water.
